Walkie talkie and repeater system for malls
Security, housekeeping and operations on one system, across every floor and car park.

The problem
Malls are large, full of steel and concrete, and busy on the radio all day. Portable radios alone rarely reach from the basement to the top floor. I have tested a large retail property where neither portable radios nor a 4G PoC radio covered the site, which is why I test before anyone buys.
What I check first
- Where the repeater can sit (riser room, power, cable route).
- Antenna type and how it looks. A ceiling dome antenna is often the better fit for a public area.
- How many teams and how many talk groups you need.
- Existing radios that can be reprogrammed instead of replaced.
- Night work rules and access for installation.

Common questions
How long does a mall repeater project take?
Allow 1 to 3 months for the MCMC approval. Hardware can often be installed earlier, then reprogrammed once the frequency comes through.
Can I keep my old radios?
Sometimes. Tell me the models and I will check before you spend money on new units.
Tell me about your site
Where is it, how many people, and what keeps going wrong? I will reply with a recommendation.
